We have a small farm in northwestern Pennsylvania with sixteen Myotonic goats, and have been breeding goats since 1997 for seventeen years. We get so much enjoyment out of our goats! I wanted a goat when I was a child, but my mom said, "No way!" There were a lot of negative tales of goats back then, but now people realize they make wonderful pets especially the smaller goat breeds like Myotonics. Myotonic goats, also known as fainting goats, have a condition called "Myotonia" that causes the goat to stiffen and/or fall over when startled. They don't go unconscious as the name suggests, and it only lasts for a few seconds. We breed tricolor, black and white, brown and white, and some blue eyes.
